Copyright is established the instant a work has been penned, but to legally enforce one’s rights provided an infringement occurs requires having the appropriate registration.

Minus the above it would prove futile to file a lawsuit and have the matter brought into court.

One common myth is that an unopened letter of a work which bears a postmark offers some form of protection under Copyright Law. This is simply not true as no such provision exist.

It should also be noted that all copyrights are not the same and each serves its own individual purpose.

In consideration of these facts it is better to leave interpretation regarding such to a skilled professional rather than risk having it executed incorrectly or not at all.

UIBMG will assess the situation to make an accurate determination and “Connect the Dots”.
